The "Spider" SCARA RS4‑C Series is a high-performance SCARA robot designed for compact production environments. Its special arm geometry creates a cylindrical work envelope with no dead zones, enabling efficient use of space. Ideal for fast pick-and-place operations and precision assembly tasks, the RS4‑C combines speed, accuracy, and flexibility for demanding applications.

Cylindrical envelope

Epson pioneered the first SCARA robot with a perfectly cylindrical work envelope—a concept now widely adopted. This guarantees 100% reach across the entire operating area, maximising productivity and minimising space requirements. With its compact 350 mm arm, RS4-C handles pallet sizes that would normally require a 750 mm reach—delivering true efficiency in tight spaces.

Compact high performance

RS4-Series "Spider" robots offer performance among the best in the industry. It delivers cycle times as low as 0.322 seconds, supported by a high-rigidity arm design that minimises vibration for smooth, precise motion. With STM (Shortest Time Motion) and GYROPLUS technology, RS4-C offers faster cycles and exceptional accuracy for demanding applications.
