Windows 11 – Unable to update printer firmware via USB

Issue

It is not possible to update a printer’s firmware, on a windows 11 computer, that has the December security patch installed. This is only when connected via USB.

Solution

Please connect your product via a network connection, either ethernet or WI-FI, depending upon your product, then reattempt the firmware update.
