EXPLANATION:

Photo Black ink is a polyvalent black ink that can be used with any Epson media (Glossy and Matte) nevertheless it has been optimised for Resin-Coated (RC) and photographic grade media types.

If you are printing on matte-type papers such as Epson Textured Fine Art, Enhanced Matte, or UltraSmooth Fine Art, Epson recommends using the Matte Black ink to significantly increase the black density and the matte aspect of your prints.
