Where Can I Find ISO Page Yield Information for My Epson Printer?
Description
Epson provides ink cartridge yields based on official ISO/IEC standards for inkjet products, which vary by yield type:
- Colour page yield: ISO/IEC 24711 (method) using the ISO/IEC 24712 test pattern.
- Monochrome page yield: ISO/IEC 24711 (method) using the ISO/IEC 19752 test pattern.
- Photo yield (number of 4"×6" photo prints): ISO/IEC 29102 and 29103.
These standards are widely recognised as the most reliable method for testing inkjet printers under standard conditions, for comparing achievable ink yields between competing printers.
Solution
Yields vary considerably based on images printed, print settings, paper type, frequency of use, humidity, and temperature. Since no single yield standard can duplicate a customer's actual usage, Epson recommends choosing an inkjet printer based on expected printing needs, treating page yield as just one factor among others such as image quality, fade resistance, reliability, and printer features.
