EXPLANATION:

Where can I download apps?

You can find supported applications in the Moverio Apps Market. Make sure you are connected to the Internet and then tap the icon on the Apps list screen.

A light is displayed on the controller. What does this mean?

Error Messages and Lights

Light Status
Light blue Operating
Flashing light blue (one second intervals) Starting up / Shutting down
Flashing light blue (two second intervals) Charging *
Flashing red Battery running low / Start-up error
Flashing red three times Insufficient battery to start-up
Blue Sleep mode

Note:

When the battery is completely drained, the controller may not operate immediately even if the light flashes blue. This is not a fault.


The controller doesn't power on, what can I do?

  • The controller doesn't power on. The LED on the controller does not light or flashes red three times or continuously.

    Check Solution
    Is the controller fully charged? *

    Charge the controller via Micro USB connector.

    Note: The LED flashes red three times when there is insufficient charge or when the battery is completely drained the LED may not light. It may take a while for the controller to power on after starting a charge even if the light flashes blue, please charge for at least 30 minutes.

    Does the operating temperature conform to specifications? Use the BT-200 in an environment of 5 to 35℃ humidity 20 to 80% (no condensation). In cases where the controller overheats due to extended continuous usage in an out of specifications environment, the BT-200 may shut down. Cool it down or warm it up to turn it back on.
    Is the password for the screen lock correct?

    Enter the screen lock password.

    Contact your local EPSON Service Provider if you've forgotten the password.

    Note:

    The battery is not replaceable. Do not disassemble or modify this product. Contact your EPSON service provider for battery maintenance.

The headset doesn't power on, what can I do?

Check Solution
Is the headset connected to the controller? Connect the headset to the controller.
Is the headset in mute mode?

Lightly tap the right-hand side of the headset twice to release the mute function.

If the BT-200 is muted unexpectedly, disable the mute knock function in the BT-200 menu. See the Reference Guide for more details about enabling the mute knock function.

Is the password for the screen lock correct?

Enter the screen lock password.

Contact your local EPSON Service Provider if you've forgotten the password.


The controller buttons don't operate or the track pad isn't functioning correctly, what can I do?

Check Solution
Is the Key lock turned on? To release Key lock, slide the power switch to the centre.
Is the controller in sleep mode? If the LED is blue (sleep mode), slide the power switch briefly to the left side.
Is the controller rotation turned on? Check Settings > Language & Input > Auto-rotate track pad.


There's a problem with image display, quality, appearance or mirroring, what can I do?

Cannot view 2D or 3D movies

Check Solution
Is the headset connected to the controller? Connect the headset to the controller.
Is the BT-200 in mute mode? If images are not displayed when the LED is light-blue, BT-200 may be muted. Lightly tap twice the right-hand side of the headset to release the mute function. If BT-200 is muted unexpectedly, disable the mute knock function.
Is 2D or 3D mode being turned on?
  1. Press the Switch Key on the left side of the controller until the 2D/3D option appears.
  2. Press the Up / Down key on the right side of the controller to adjust the movie format.
Is the file format supported?

Supported file formats:

  • Video: MP4 (MPEG4+AAC / Dolby Digital Plus), MPEG2 (H.264+AAC / Dolby Digital Plus)
  • Still Images: JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF
  • Audio: WAV, MP3, AAC
  • 3D video: Side by side

Image stops or freezes unexpectedly

Check Solution
Is the tap to mute function enabled? If BT-200 is muted unexpectedly, disable the tap to mute function.
Are the images or audio frozen?

Force the BT-200 to shut down by using one of the following methods *:

  1. Slide the power switch to the left side and maintain the position for at least 8 seconds.
  2. Press the reset button on the left side microSD card housing for at least 2 seconds (a thin object is necessary).

Warning:

Do not force the product to shut down or reset unless it freezes. Stored data and settings may be lost.

Moverio Mirror does not work

Do auxiliary devices being used support Miracast
  • Use Miracast compatible auxiliary devices.
  • For non Miracast compatible auxiliary device, use the optional Wireless Mirroring Adapter.

Note: Connections are not guaranteed for all devices.

Images are fuzzy

Check Solution
Is 2D or 3D mode being turned on?
  1. Press the Switch Key on the left side of the controller until the 2D/3D option appears.
  2. Press the Up / Down key on the right side of the controller to adjust the movie format.
Are there dusts, fingerprints or condensation on the glasses? Wipe them carefully with a soft cloth.

Image colour or brightness is incorrect *

Check Solution
Adjust the brightness
  1. Press the Switch Key on the left side of the controller until the Screen brightness option appears.
  2. Press the Up / Down key on the right side of the controller to adjust the brightness.
Are there dusts, fingerprints or condensation on the glasses? Wipe them carefully with a soft cloth.

Note:

* The image colour and contrast cannot be adjusted.

There's no sound or the sound is faint, what can I do?

Check Solution
Is the volume of the media set high enough?
  1. Press the Switch Key on the left side of the controller until the Media volume option appears.
  2. Press the Up / Down key on the right side of the controller to adjust the volume.


Sound from the earphone microphone isn't being recorded, what could be wrong?

Is the stereo earphone microphone compliant with the OMTP standard?

Use the supplied earphone microphone which conforms to CTIA standard.


I can't connect my Moverio BT-200 Smart Glasses to a network, what can I do?

Check Solution
Is there a Wi-Fi network accessible in the operating environment? Set-up a wireless LAN in the operating environment.
Is the wireless LAN setting enabled on your BT-200? Enable the BT-200 Wi-Fi setting.
Are the “Initial settings” complete?

In the WIRELESS & NETWORKS menu:

  • Turn Wi-Fi [ON].
  • Available SSIDs are displayed.
  • Tap the SSID (network name) you want to connect to.
  • Enter the password and then tap Connect.
  • When is displayed on the status bar, setup is complete.

Note: You can add an SSID manually if the network you want to connect to is not found. See the Reference Guide for more details.

Are you using the BT-200 at home?

When using at home:

  • Power on the wireless LAN router / access point.
  • Setup the SSID and security password for the wireless LAN router / access point (see manufacturer documentation).
Are you using the BT-200 with a public wireless LAN service?
  • Check that the public wireless LAN service is available.
  • Contact the Wi-Fi service supplier to use the public wireless LAN service.


Stored data and settings have been erased or lost, what could have caused this? *

Cause Solution

The forced shutdown or reset has been used too much or unintentionally.

Restore data and settings. Please backup your data and settings before repair. See the Moverio BT-200 Start Guide for more details.

The BT-200 has been repaired by an EPSON service provider.

Note:

Data stored on the product may be lost or damaged when the product malfunctions or is repaired. Epson shall not be responsible for the loss of any data or damage to data even during the warranty period.


MicroSD or microSDHC cards do not work, what are the reasons?

Check your microSD / microSDHC card is compatible:

There is a problem with a supplied accessory (glass holder, nose pad, earphone set, AC adapter, carrying case, USB cable), what can I do?

You can purchase new shades and accessories from your local EPSON service provider. Go to http://esupport.epson-europe.com to visit the Epson support website.

Can the headset or the controller be mixed among several BT-200?

No. In rare cases, the use of a headset with a controller other than the original one can cause movie display problems. Pair the headset with the controller that it was originally supplied with.

How do I attach / remove the BT-200 shades?

Auto-rotate trackpad.

The option Auto-rotate trackpad is in Language & input into the settings.

How to update the Operating System?

  1. Connect the device to the Internet.
  2. Select Device Info.
  3. Select System updates.
  4. Select Check now to check for system updates.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the system.
Note:

The update will take time, wait until it is complete before restarting. During this process, the led indicator may go out for a moment it is not a fault. If the battery level is too low the update can not start, connect the AC Adapter.


What kind of external earphones/microphone can I use?

You can use all earphones/microphones that have a 3.5 mm mini-jack connector which conforms to CTIA standards.

I have a functional problem with my device what can I do?

  • Connect the device to the Internet.
  • Select Device Info.
  • Select System updates.
  • Select Check now to check for system updates.
  • Note:

    The update will take time, wait until it is complete before restarting. During this process, the led indicator may go out for a moment it is not a fault. If the battery level is too low the update can not start, connect the AC Adapter.


When I unpack my brand new BT-200, I cannot find the Shades and the Lens holders, what could be wrong?

Please refer to the picture below for guidance. The Shades and the lens holder are located in the inner pocket of the carrying case lid.

What is the size of images viewed with the BT-200?

You can view on the BT-200 images up to 40 inches from a perspective of 2.5 meters away on its virtual display.
It gives you the same effect as what you would view on many televisions at home.
The BT-200 allows you to view images up to 80 inches when viewed from a perspective of 5 meters away.
It becomes 160 inches when viewed from a perspective of 10 meters away.
Basically, you can view a bigger image based on the perspective from which you are viewing it.

How do I copy content such as movies, music and photos to the device?

  1. Connect the Headset to the controller.
  2. Connect the controller to your computer using the supplied USB cable. Your computer recognises the product as EMBT2 removable storage disk.
  3. Copy desired data to the product.
  4. Disconnect the USB cable when finished.
Caution:

The Headset must be connected to the controller for this to work.


How to do I clean the BT-200?

Wet wipes can be used to clean the arms of the BT-200, dry wipes should be used for the transparent lenses of the BT-200.
