Epson Scan fails to install from the CD when installing via network on Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9)

EXPLANATION:


Whilst installing Epson Scan over a network, after the network settings have been made, the installer will cease to function and it will not be possible to continue the process. This is only applicable when installing from the software CD provided with the product.

SOLUTION:


To solve this issue, follow the instructions below:


  1. Cancel the installation from the CD.

  2. Visit your local Epson Support Website and download the relevant version of Epson Scan for your product.

  3. Install the downloaded version of Epson Scan.

  4. Once completed, restart the installation from the software CD. The installation should now complete successfully.
