Support & Downloads: Epson Stylus Photo R3000

I can no longer access Google services when using Epson iPrint

RELATES TO:

  • Google Services
  • Android devices

EXPLANATION:

Due to Google Drive’s newly revised certification method for Android devices, from 1st February 2013 you may experience the following problems when:

  • Printing photos or documents that are located on Google Drive
  • Uploading scanned data to Google Drive
  • Printing local Microsoft Office documents

To comply with Google’s revised certification, Epson iPrint has been updated to Ver. 3.1.2. Epson iPrint will now require Android 2.2 (Froyo) or later and Google Play Services to be installed as a minimum requirement.

Note:

Due to Google’s certification change, if you use Android 2.1 (Éclair), you can continue to use the preinstalled versions of Epson iPrint but with reduced functionality. However, it will no longer be available to search for in the Google Play Store.

Resolution

  1. Install Android 2.2 (Froyo) or later on your Android device (see your device documentation for further information).

  2. Install or update Epson iPrint Ver. 3.1.2 or later via the Google Play store.

Login to your Android account from a computer by clicking here or use your QR code scanner to install from your Android device.

  3. Ensure that Google Play Services is installed.

    Note:

Devices running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or later already have Google Play Services installed by default.

Login to your Android account from a computer by clicking here or use your QR code scanner to install from your Android device.
