How to set up Push-Scan via Wi-Fi

RELATES TO:

  • Push-Scan
  • Wi-Fi All-in-One printers
  • Wi-Fi Scanners

EXPLANATION:

Push-Scan, (or Scan to PC) is a feature of some Epson products that allows you to scan to a PC directly from your All-in-One or Scanner.

How to Set Push-Scan via Wi-Fi

  1. Do one of the following to start Epson Event Manager:
    • Windows: Select the Start button or Start > Programs or All Programs > Epson Software > EventManager.

    • Mac OS X: Select \Applications\Epson Software, and double-click the Launch Event Manager icon.

  2. Select the Button Settings tab in Epson Event Manager. The button and action options you see here depend on your scanner/All-In-One model. If your product has one button, you will have one button action drop-down menu.

  3. For some models, you will need to select your scanner from the Scanner drop-down menu.

  4. Click the arrow in the list next to the action name (e.g. Scan to PC, Scan to PDF, or Scan to Email), then select the action you want to assign.

    Note:

We recommend downloading and installing the latest version of Epson Event Manager from the Epson support website. Note: This is not required for the Stylus Photo PX710W and PX810FW models.

  5. Open Epson Scan settings.

    • Windows: All Programs/Epson/Epson Scan/Epson Scan Settings.
    • Mac OS X: Select \Applications\Epson Software/Epson Scan/Epson Scan Settings, and double-click.

  6. On the printer check in the Scan to PC menu that you can see the name of the PC you are scanning to.

    (example below)

  7. The setup is now complete.

What to check if the Push-Scan function fails.

    1. Check that the Wi-Fi is enabled on both the pc and the All-in-One /Scanner unit.

    2. Ensure that the product you are installing is the only All-in-one/scanner unit installed as this may otherwise lead to software/driver conflicts and may prevent the product from being able to Scan to PC wirelessly.

    3. Check you only have one version of Epson Scan installed as this can cause conflicts and prevent the product from working correctly wirelessly.

    4. Check the Epson Event Manager settings are set correctly.

      • Windows: Select the Start button or Start > Programs or All Programs > Epson Software > EventManager.
      • Mac OS X: Select \Applications\Epson Software, and double-click the Launch Event Manager icon.

    5. Check the Epson Scan Settings are correct.

    6. If you have been through the above steps, and you are still unable to use the Push-Scan function you will need to fully install and reinstall your product. Refer to the relevant article.
