Scan to PDF: How to create single and multi-page files with Epson Scan 2

  1. Open EPSON Scan 2.
  2. Click the Preview button to preview your image(s).

  3. Select your scan area from the Preview window.
  4. When you are ready to scan, select Add or Edit Page from the After Scanning Option drop down menu.

  5. Select PDF in the Image Format drop down box.

  6. Select the location you want to save the PDF to in the Folder drop down menu.
  7. Click Scan
  8. Your page will be scanned and the following window will be displayed.

  9. If you are scanning multiple pages, click Add.
  10. Replace the first page on the document table with the second page and click Add.

    • Repeat this step for each page in your document.
  11. When finished, if you don't need to edit your pages, click Finish. All the document pages are saved in a PDF file in the location specified in Folder drop down menu.
  12. Note:

    You will not be able to edit the file if you choose Finish. If you need to edit the scanned pages, you will need to do this before you save the file - click Edit page.

    Editing a PDF

    The Editing Page window displays thumbnails of each scanned page.

    You can use the tools below the Editing Page window to select, rotate, reorder, and delete pages in your document.

    If you want to include all the document pages in your PDF file as they currently look, click on Finish.

    If you do not need to include some of the pages, select the pages with the appropriate button and then click on to delete them.

    To select odd pages, click on .

    To select even pages, click on .

    To select all pages, click on .

    To select an individual page, click on the thumbnail then click on .


    The icon is not available when all document pages are selected.

    To rotate pages:  

    1. Select the page that you would like to rotate or if you need to select more than one page, use the selection buttons to select odd, even or all pages.
    2. Use the rotate left or rotate right buttons to change the page rotation.

    When you have finished editing your document pages, click Finish.

    All the document pages on the Editing Page window are saved in a PDF file in the location specified in Folder drop down menu.
