NEW FEATURES FOR THE
NEXT GENERATION OF LABELWORKS
AUTOMATIC TAPE REWIND
After cutting, automatically rewinds the tape back into the device to minimise waste. This can reduce front and back margins to just 1mm, reducing waste and saving you money1.
Now when tapes are inserted into the Label Maker, their type is automatically detected. By displaying automatic templates when required, errors are minimised and efficiency and productivity improved1.

We are currently replacing our range of LC Tapes with our new LK Tapes, that take over where the LC range left off.
Our new LK Tapes have been designed to support our whole range of label makers. As our stock of LC tapes is depleted, the corresponding LK tape will become available. Apart from the new features mentioned above, these new tapes are identical, using the same materials and durability.
Find the complete list of new LK tapes and existing LC tapes below, and their compatibility with your device by selecting it from the drop down list.

What is the difference between LC tapes and LK tapes?
LK tapes have been designed to add new functionalities to Epson label makers, including tape rewinding and tape series detection. LK Tapes are made from the same materials as LC Tapes, giving them the same properties, resistance and durability.
A key difference is that the tape codes and packaging are new.
How should LC and LK tapes be stored?
LC and LK tapes should be stored in a cool environment, avoiding high temperatures, high humidity and direct sunlight.
The recommended storing environment is:
- Temperature: -10°C to 40°C
- Humidity: 80%RH or less
- Avoid direct sunlight
Do LC and LK tapes have an 'expiry date' or 'best/use before' date?
There is no expiry date for these tapes. We do recommend you store them in a clean, indoor environment and use the tape immediately after opening the pack to ensure good quality and reliability during printing.
How thick is each tape?
Standard LC & LK tapes are 70μm, without backing paper. For more details, please refer to the Tape Technical Manual.
Will LC and LK tapes give off harmful emissions if accidentally burnt?
No, LC and LK tapes are made from chlorine-free material, so are free from harmful emissions if accidentally burned or recycled in an incinerator.
Do LC and LK tapes contain silicone, chloroethene or natural rubber?
No, LC and LK tapes do not contain any of these substances.
Are LC and LK tapes resistant to alcohol?
Yes. Contact with alcohol will not cause significant changes to the printed text or tape.
Are LC and LK tapes resistant to abrasion, heat, water, low and high temperatures, and weather?
LC & LK tapes are very durable, resisting water and withstanding hot and cold conditions. For more details, please refer to the Tape Technical Manual.
