Designed for modern life

Developing its popular ranges to suit modern lifestyles, Epson has revealed the latest updates to its Expression Premium (XP-6000/5) and Expression Photo ranges (XP-8500). The new models sport a stylish and compact aesthetic, while offering an impressive array of home and photo printing features.

Mohamed Musa, product manager, says, “Our new Expression Premium and Expression Photo all-in-ones offer a fantastic solution for those wishing to print high-quality photos at home. But they’re not just highly functional, they also take into consideration how people live. In addition to mobile printing solutions for printing on the go, it’s becoming increasingly important for technology to be compact and stylish so that it can integrate into the home. Printers are no longer confined to a study room; they can be placed anywhere in the home and so their design needs to reflect this. From every angle the space-saving XP-6000/5 and XP-8500 feature sleek, clean lines, making them a practical yet tasteful addition to the home.”

Recognising the needs of different users, Epson’s latest range includes photo models (XP-6000/5) engineered for general home users and photography enthusiasts (XP-8500). For the best of both worlds, the XP-6000/5 uses Epson’s 5-colour Claria Premium dye and pigment ink-set to produce high-quality photos and crisp, clear text documents. The photos are crystal clear with vibrant colours and deep, rich blacks thanks to the photo black ink cartridge.

For superior, long-lasting photos, the XP-8500 uses 6-colour, dye-based Claria Photo HD Inks. Photo enthusiasts are sure to appreciate its ability to reproduce finer details and colours with natural skin tones, smooth gradations and deep blacks. Keeping treasured memories safe, the high-quality ink produces photos that can last for 300 years in a photo album1.

These versatile all-in-ones offer a range of user-friendly features including; a new user interface, A4 double-sided printing, dual paper trays and the ability to print on suitable CDs and DVDs. There’s also a rear speciality feed for printing on thicker media, motorised output tray and auto power on for convenience (XP-8500 only).

Giving people the freedom to print as and when they want, these printers offer Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and a full suite of mobile options for printing photos and documents on the go. Users can simply download the free Epson iPrint app2 to print and scan wirelessly from a smart device. The free Epson Creative Print2 app can print photos directly from Facebook, create greeting cards, turn photos into colouring books, and more. It’s even possible to print by emailing files directly to the printer from almost anywhere in the world with Epson Email Print2. There’s also a large LCD screen and memory card slot for printing directly from the model itself.

The XP-6000/5 and XP-8500 are available from October 2017, priced at £119.99/€117.07 and £149.99/€184.99 respectively. (XP-6000 is black, XP-6005 is white)
