Other interfaces

The Epson range of optional interfaces brings a wide variety of connectivity:

Serial - Epson provide two choices for serial interfaces - either non-buffered or 32Kb buffered serial interfaces

Parallel - a buffered 32 Kb bi-directional parallel interface provides the ability to have two parallel interfaces fitted to a printer

LocalTalk - provides network printing for Macintosh printers and is ideal for small low cost networks. For larger Macintosh networks Ethernet is more suitable.

Coax - allows connectivity with IBM 3270 series computers

Twinax- allows connectivity with IBM AS/400 or System/3X series computers

FireWire - the Epson IEEE 1394 interface card provides a high speed interface for the Power Mac G3 and G4
