Epson® introduces a cost-effective multimedia solution for the conferencing, seminars and training
The Epson EMP-821 video projector is an installation projector, ideal for MOD, hotels, conference rooms, further education and training.
1st September 2004 – The Epson EMP-821 is a 2600 ANSI lumens XGA video projector. Developed specifically for use in the large meeting rooms or conferences, the Epson EMP-821 combines low noise, high brightness, and high zoom ratio in a simple to operate package, at a very competitive price point. The Epson EMP-821 has a 3000-hour lamp life, which reduces running costs. It is quiet too, with a fan noise of 30dB.
The projector has a wide range of inputs and a monitor-out socket can be used even when the power is off. The brightness level of the projector ensures a clear, bright image can be achieved in high ambient light conditions.
Set-up routines have been made as simple as possible, just place the projector on the table, plug in, turn on and the auto keystone correction automatically detects the projector’s vertical angle and adjusts the vertical keystone distortion instantly. The help function is further improved and most problems can be solved without searching through the manual.
The high zoom ratio (1:1:6) provides more flexibility for the presenter. A projection of 60” can be achieved from any distance between 1.8m up to 2.8m. This allows the projector to be installed in a wider range of positions, therefore coping with different room layouts.
The optional network function allows the Epson EMP-821 to be controlled remotely from a network PC for convenient operation. The comprehensive, easy-to-use help function means most queries can be quickly resolved using the in-built help menu.

Epson’s latest ultra-portable multimedia projectors provide the ultimate audio-visual support in the office or on the move. Weighing as little as 1.8kg, these projectors offer up to 2500 ANSI lumens brightness.
1st September 2004 – Epson unveils the most technologically advanced projectors in the mobile presenting market, the Epson EMP-745 and EMP-740 (XGA 2500 ANSI lumens) are the brightest projectors in the sub 2kg market. These projectors are designed specifically to meet the diverse needs of the professional business user on the move. The new lightweight projectors are ideal to use in conjunction with a laptop for mobile use or for small meetings.
The EMP-745 is the wireless LAN projector. The Epson EasyMP technology offers a range of capabilities including the wireless connectivity and security functions, PC-less presentations and network control. The EMP-745 supports the fastest and most secure wireless LAN transmission on the market today (802.11g) giving connection speeds of up to 54MBps and supporting the latest WEP, WPA and LEAP security protocols.
In addition the network function can be used to monitor and control the product via a central IS function, for example, turning all products off at the end of the day. The EMP-745 can also email an administrator if there is a failure.
It is no longer essential to carry a projector and a laptop to business meetings. PC-less presentations can be carried out using the USB port to connect a USB memory key, CD ROM drive or even a digital camera. Also present in the EMP-745 is a PCMCIA card slot for presentations or information saved on a memory card. This is compatible with all flash media types and IBM Microdrive when used with the correct adaptor.
The EMP-740 is the standard version for those who do not require wireless features. As with the EMP-745 it offers 2500 ANSI LUMENS and XGA resolution.
The Epson EMP-745 and EMP-740 also feature a long lamp life of up to 3000 hours and include an easy to use height adjustment for easy set-up.
