Epson® brings high-quality printing and copying to the office

1 st May 2004 - The AcuLaser Color Station 8600+ is Epson's latest networked colour laser print and copy device. A combination of the AcuLaser 8600 A3W colour laser printer and the GT-15000 A3 scanner, the device offers users maximum flexibility and usability. Designed for networked business users, the AcuLaser Color Station 8600+ meets the needs of those who require the added efficiency and productivity provided by a single, integrated colour imaging solution.
The AcuLaser Color Station 8600+ offers high-speed network printing up to 8ppm colour and 35ppm black and white, ensuring output is fast irrespective of printing a text based or image-heavy document. For network functionality and compatibility, the AcuLaser Color Station 8600+ supports standard 10/100 BaseTx network protocols and data compression technology, enabling any group of users to simultaneously print without delay. In addition to this, Epson ASIC printing technology offers users job reprints, verification and storage. And coupled with Epson's RIP technology, data is managed efficiently and accurately for high-speed, high-quality output.
Epson has enhanced its copier functionality on the AcuLaser Color Station 8600+ with additional features and improved usability. Utilising the GT-15000 scanner, the AcuLaser Color Station 8600+ offers users full colour network scanning at 4msec/line at a resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi. This means scans are fast whilst maintaining network performance and stability. Users also benefit from the A3 size scan area. For added functionality the AcuLaser Color Station 8600+ supports One Scan Multi Copy, Page Joining and Separation, Zoom functions, Collation, and Shadow Removal. The copier features are accessed through a high-quality back-lit display panel.

Epson®'s lead in digital imaging innovation recognised with two TIPA Awards
May 13th 2004 - Epson received a double accolade at this year's Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Awards, winning both the best photo printer and best flatbed scanner categories . The Epson Stylus Photo R800 and Epson Stylus Perfection 4870 Photo were both recognised by the 31 publications that belong to TIPA for their outstanding innovation and technical excellence.
The Best Ink-Jet Photo Printer Winner - Epson Stylus Photo R800
Epson was the first to introduce a six-colour, true photographic inkjet printer, and it continues to raise the bar in this sector. The Epson Stylus Photo R800 is the latest in the series and includes a new eight cartridge UltraChrome Hi-Gloss pigment ink set and features the new Epson Gloss Optimizer that has established new benchmarks for photo-quality printing, durability and flexibility.

Johnny Vaughn, Tony Blair and Prince Edward in the race to become Epson Celebrity Dad of The Year 2004
With Father's Day under a month away, the competition is fierce for the celebrity dads vying for the title of this year's Epson Celebrity Dad of the Year Award. The Awards are sponsored by Epson, the worlds leading digital imaging company, and members of the public have swamped their website to register their votes (at www.epson.co.uk/celebritydad ) since the nominations opened last week. The Celebrity Dad Of The Year Award aims to reward the celebrity dad who has impressed the public by balancing a hectic public life with the demands of parenting.
The Award was won last year by ex- Westlife member Bryan McFadden.
