How to print without colour management in Adobe Photoshop CS5
RELATES TO:
- Adobe® Photoshop CS5
- Mac OS 10.5, 10.6
- Windows 7, Vista, XP
- All Epson printers
EXPLANATION:
Amongst the changes and new features in Adobe® Photoshop® CS5 is that the absence of the "No Color Management" option in the 'Color Handing' menu of the Photoshop CS5 Print dialog. To print without any colour management (e.g. for ICC profile creation process), you need to use an additional utility called "Adobe Color Printer Utility".
You can read more and download the utility on the Adobe website. See the following webpage: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/834/cpsid_83497.html

This issue affects Mac OS 10.5 and 10.6. However, according to Adobe's website: "This application only works in Mac OS 10.6. It does not work on Mac OS 10.5." Also, this utility can only be used with TIFF files. |
Follow Adobe's instructions to download and install the utility, and then starting the Adobe Color Printer Utility and making the print settings.
