To correct the problem, install the Epson Scan Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) driver. Please check the Epson and Snow Leopard - Mac OS X 10.6 support page to see if a Snow Leopard driver is available for your scanner. A link to the article is also available in the "Related Articles" section at the top-right of this page.
- If a driver labelled "Mac OS X 10.6 Download" is available, download and install the driver. Once installed, restart the computer. You should no longer experience this message when you use Epson Scan.
- If the driver is not available or only a driver labelled "Compatible download" is available, please return periodically to the Epson and Snow Leopard - Mac OS X 10.6 support page to check for an updated driver.
To avoid seeing the error, do not use the ColorSync option. Enable Color Control or No Color Correction instead. You can change this setting in the Configuration menu.
To access this, open Epson Scan and enter Professional Mode. If Epson Scan starts scanning in the automatic mode, click on the Pause button during "Preview and document type recognition". Click on the Configuration button at the bottom of the Epson Scan window. In the window that appears, click on the Color tab to access the available colour mode options.
Enable Color Control or No Color Correction
If you decide to leave ColorSync enabled, uncheck Embed ICC Profile in the Plug-in Settings window.
To access the Plug-in Settings, open the File Save Settings window and with the Type set to either 'JPEG (*.jpg)' or 'TIFF (*.tiff)', click on Options.
Uncheck Embed ICC Profile
