How do I monitor my ink levels in Windows 2000 or XP?

RELATES TO:

  • Using EPSON Status Monitor
  • Ink level status

EXPLANATION:

The EPSON Status Monitor utility enables you to view your printer's ink levels and current status via your computer. This can be used to see when you need to replace an ink cartridge, or estimate when to order a replacement for a cartridge that is running low.

Notes Icon Note:

To be able to monitor your ink levels, Status Monitor must be installed.

The progress meter appears automatically when you start a print job. You can check the ink cartridge status from this window. It also shows the status of the print, your ink levels and any appropriate error information (e.g. a paper jam).

Notes Icon Note:

If any of the ink cartridges installed in the printer are broken, incompatible with the printer model, or improperly installed, EPSON Status Monitor 3 will not display an accurate calculation of the ink cartridge status. Be sure to replace or reinstall any ink cartridge indicated by EPSON Status Monitor 3.
