laser printers

Laser printers are perfect for reproducing quality business documents. With high paper capacities they require minimal operator intervention. Producing quality output at consistent high speeds they are cost effective to run, particularly with low cost AcuBrite toner.

Choosing a laser printer
When choosing a laser printer you need to consider a number of issues - do you want to print in colour or mono, what volume are you planning to print and how fast do you want to print. There are compact models that sit neatly on the desktop whilst networked models can be shared by the whole office or small workgroups. You also need to consider whether you want to print on A3 or A4 paper, whether you want to be able to print duplex and if you need extra paper capacity.

If space is at a premium a multifunction device is ideal - allowing you print, copy, scan and fax as well has sharing your documents over the network.

dot matrix printers

Dot matrix printers offer the most cost effective way to print routine operational documents such as invoices, pay slips, delivery notes, stock reports, labels and barcodes. Printing primarily in mono and typically used for back office functions, dot matrix printers are ideal for harsh environments such as warehouses and with only one easy-to-change consumable they require only very superficial operator knowledge. A dot matrix printer is essential if you want to print multi-part stationery.

Choosing a dot matrix printer
When choosing a dot matrix printer you need to consider whether you are looking for speed or quality: 9 pin printers tend to offer a lower cost, higher speed solution whilst 24pin models produce better quality output. Volume and durability are issues to consider as well as footprint and noise levels. Different models cater for different paper sizes – from A4 to A3. And different paper handling options accommodate cut sheet or continuous paper with different models handling different amounts of multi-part stationery.
