Understanding laser printer technology
Epson's commitment to innovative laser printer technology provides high quality, cost effective, high volume printing, plus business solutions that help you control costs and manage your network easily.
Epson AcuBrite toner
Epson AcuBrite toner particles contain smaller prices of wax. This makes the toner particles melt evenly on the paper during the printing process, resulting in a high-quality, gloss finish. Because the particles fuse at low temperatures, warm-up time is cut and the printer is more energy-efficient. The small, uniform particle size gives a wider range of colour reproduction with less graininess.

Epson Colour-RITech
(Resolution Improvement Technology)
This technology, implemented in all Epson laser printers, eliminates dotted or jagged edges in colour text, and ensures that even finely detailed areas are reproduced sharply, making charts, graphs and detailed CAD schematics alive with clear, crisp tones.

AcuLaser ASIC technology
The performance of a colour laser printer does not simply depend on the engine. What really decides print quality and performance is the controller, and Epson's Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) hardware enables the highest level of printer performance. Using complex algorithms, the ASIC's power gives it an extraordinary capacity for calculating, resulting in both quick output and high-quality printing.

Epson AcuLaser Fine Dot Control technology
Smooth light and dark gradations are reproduced by accurately controlling the size and position of each dot on the page allowing, for example, the AcuLaser CX21N Series to reach an effective 2400dpi.

Epson Intelligent Line Screening technology
Developed from Epson's award winning inkjet printers, and controlled by the printer driver, this technology distinguishes between photographs, text and line drawings on a page, and automatically alters the Line Screening and Colour Correction for each area.

Epson AcuLaser Adaptive Data Compression
This enables the printer to use memory more efficiently and to process images faster by automatically compressing the print data using the best compression method for the image. Depending on the document, the ASIC switches between compression methods when processing images composed of multiple smaller images.

Epson MiTech (Memory Improvement Technology)
This technology is activated when complex documents are printed at high resolution and the printer driver detects that the page to be printed will not fit in the printer's memory. MiTech then compresses the image as much as possible, using loss-less compression to ensure that no information is lost, and decreasing pixel depth if necessary. The result is low memory usage and faster printing.

Epson AcuLaser PhotoEnhance 4
Derived from Epson's inkjet products, this improves the appearance of low resolution images from digital cameras or scanners, making photographs appear sharper.

Flying Start technology
This speeds up the printing process by processing the four different colours (CMYK) separately, and sending the colour planes to the printer in the same order that they will be physically printed - so printing can start immediately, decreasing the time for the first page out.

WRAP Transfer technology
This is a new implementation of the electro-photography system used in laser printers. It brings more accuracy to the transfer of toner to the paper by preventing toner scattering and image shift. The result is clear, sharp printed images.

EpsonNet JobTracker
EpsonNet Job Tracker is a free, web-based application that can be installed on a network PC server and / or a PC client depending on your network infrastructure. This flexible and easy to use software helps you to control your printing costs by giving you a clear picture of what is being printed, where and by whom.
