Auto Ink Droplet Detection System
The built in sensor quickly verifies the nozzle status without using media and can automatically clean the print head on clogged nozzles.
Epson has further improved the breakthrough Auto Nozzle check system by creating the Auto Ink Droplet Detection System. This innovative feature automatically checks and verifies nozzle operability without the need for a pattern printout.
A miniscule amount of electrically charged ink is emitted from all nozzles, and in the event that the built-in sensors do not detect ink, the nozzle is judged to be malfunctioning. Once the nozzle defects are detected, the printer automatically initiates a cleaning process to clear the nozzle.
Features and benefits on Auto Ink Droplet Detection System:
• Verifies nozzle status without the use of media
• Seamlessly checks, identifies and solves nozzle blockage problems
• Uses very little ink and no media
• Takes less than 30 seconds to complete the automatic process
• Can be set to run automatically between print jobs during unattended printing
This feature is included on the following printers: Epson Stylus Pro 7900, 9900 & 11880.
