When installing my product in Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6), the movie/animation screen is black in EpsonNet Setup. Is it possible to view the movie?

- Products: Stylus Office BX310FN/BX610FW, Stylus SX510W/SX515W/SX610FW, Stylus Photo PX710W/PX810FW.
- Operating System: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.x)
- Software: EpsonNet Setup (Macintosh Edition Ver 3.0a/3.1a/3.1b)
EXPLANATION:
When running EpsonNet Setup in Mac OS X Snow Leopard, the movie/animation screen is not displayed and the screen area is blacked out. An example is shown below:

The movie/animation screen provides additional information and accompanies the on-screen text instructions, so whilst the screen is blacked out you can continue to the next screen by clicking on the Next button.
This happens because Apple no longer supports the old CODEC format of *.mov files in Snow Leopard. The default media player which is bundled with Snow Leopard is QuickTime X, which does not support the uncompressed format of *.mov files.
Epson will modify the EpsonNet Setup and make the installer available to download from the Epson support site by Sep 14th 2009.
