Super high-brightness projectors from Epson
The EB-Z8000WU and the EB-Z8050W combine long-term reliability and flexibility with outstanding image quality.
17 June 2009 – Leading projector manufacturer Epson* today announces the launch of its latest series of high-end large venue installation projectors, the EB-Z8000WU and the EB-Z8050W. The EB-Z8000 range further enhances Epson’s installation projector line-up, setting new benchmarks for brightness, reliability and flexibility.
The new EB-Z8000 projectors produce outstanding picture quality, boasting a Colour Light Output (CLO)** of up to 7000 lumens. An innovative dual lamp system coupled with super high WUXGA and WXGA resolutions ensure fantastic sharpness and Full HD quality even in large and light environments such as lecture halls, conference rooms and auditoriums.
Graeme Davidson, Senior Product Manager at Epson UK, commented: “The EB-Z8000 series represents the very best in large venue projection. The new range advances Epson’s product line, allowing the creation of incredibly realistic effects, including vertical projection. Inorganic LCD panels, combined with Epson’s C²Fine technology, deliver a super high contrast ratio and the new optical engine ensures the projection of crisp, sharp wide images, even in large, bright spaces.”
The EB-Z8000WU is the world’s first WUXGA 3LCD projector on the market to provide a 6000 lumens Colour Light Output – whilst the EB-Z8050W offers a phenomenal Colour Light Output of 7000 lumens. The EB-Z8000WU features a resolution of 1920 x 1200, and the EB-Z8050W boasts WXGA capacity to create a native screen resolution of 1280 x 800.
Designed with long-term reliability in mind, the EB-Z8000WU and EB-Z8050W both benefit from Epson’s exclusive original cooling technology, based on liquid-cooling, peltier-cooling and air-cooling technology, which lowers the temperature of the LCD panels directly. Not only does this ensure reliable performance, but also stable and quiet operation in a wide variety of installations (up to 45°C). The longer life optical engine also adds to the durability of the EB-Z8000 series, ensuring the prolonged life of the projector lamps.
With six different optional lenses, complemented by motorised flexible lens shift and zoom and focus functions, outstanding picture quality can be achieved in any environment. A discreet and seamless cable management system hides unsightly wires and connection points, and easy to replace lenses and filters ensure trouble-free maintenance.
The EB-Z8000 series is equipped with carrying handles which enable the projectors to be transported easily and safely from unpacking to installation. These handles can also be connected securely to the specially designed Epson ceiling mount kit, to deter theft.
Epson's EasyMP™ function enables wireless multi-screen presentation on up to four projectors simultaneously. The EB-Z8050W is compatible with a wide range of wireless security protocols, so important data can be safely projected over a wireless network.
As well as being tough and reliable, the EB-Z8000 series is very energy efficient with a power consumption of 734W in Eco-mode and just 1W when on stand-by. Environmental consideration is designed into the products; there is no lead in the lens, halogen flame retardant is not used and the projector body is not painted. Furthermore, the product packaging is made with recyclable materials.
The EB-Z8000WU is available from September 2009 and the EB-Z8050W will be on the market from January 2010.
